ABOUT ME

Jessica Teng

I'm a UX/Product Designer with a background in graphic design 🧑‍🎨, visual effects, marketing, and sales. These past experiences help me see things from different angles and work smoothly with people from all kinds of teams.

Lately, I’ve been focused on designing AI-powered tools ✨ —especially in mental health, healthcare, education, and family well-being. I care a lot about building products that aren’t just intuitive and easy to use, but that actually solve real problems and create meaningful impact.

Approach To Design

I like to start with a wide lens—understanding why a problem matters before jumping into solutions. When given a task, I ask plenty of questions 💬 up front and dig 🪏 into existing research to see what’s been overlooked and where hidden opportunities might lie.

I’m a big believer in learning by doing 💪; when something is unfamiliar, my first reaction is excitement and curiosity—I can’t wait to dive in and figure it out.

Approach To Life

My close ones often describe me as someone who notices the little details 👀 others might miss. I love observing how different questions spark different reactions in people. I’m endlessly curious about how life experiences shape perspectives, and I enjoy connecting those dots.

I like keeping my mind active—experimenting with new tools (lately, all kinds of AI 🤖), and listening to psychology and UX podcasts.

Outside of design, I stay active on the tennis court 🎾, in the gym, and keeping up with my two energetic boys. I try to immerse myself in all the good things—hoping that energy carries into the work I create.
